Wow, thirteen years of public education has led to this very moment. Graduation day. I cannot explain how long I have been waiting for this day to come. High school surely did go by super fast and with a blink of an eye- it’s all over. I can still remember the first day of high school and the outfit that I tried oh so very hard to pick out. My blue Vans, black skinny jeans, and a red tee. I wore that outfit once and that was it. It simply shrank after one wash so yeah.. Hahaha. Anyways, high school is over and it’s summer!
For graduation day, my entire family from both side (mom & dad) attended. It was blissful. I never imagined a day when everyone would come together to celebrate such a day. Even Daniel’s family was there and we took this huge family photo! Hahaha, awkward first family picture? That night, I felt nothing but full blessings. I am so lucky to have what I have. So lucky to have my entire family be able to attend my graduation and lucky that they are not someplace else and have no access to a plane. I am lucky to have a graduation in the first place, to have an education, and to attend a great school like Pacifica. I felt nothing but bliss!
I would also like to thank my parents. My parents are everything to me. They have given me every opportunity to succeed and be the person that I am today. I am grateful for all that they’ve given up just to let me do my own things and to help me grow. Without them, I would not have been able to walk that stage like I did on the 22nd of June. There are times when it gets really rough and I just want to hide away but I would not change a single thing. Thank you, mom and dad. You have given me so much hope and motivation that I cannot wait to make your lives way better in no time! I promise to work hard and to never let anyone tell me that I can’t when you say that I can! 🙂
+ Special thanks to my grandparents for raising me and always sticking up with my annoying self. I’m sorry for always worrying you, Grandma, whenever I went out with my friends late into the night. Thank you for always leaving the light on for me when I get home late! Thank you, Grandpa, for always buying me vintage books and teaching me to be innovative with whatever I have! Thanks to your innovativeness, I got to be in the Chemistry Demolition for two years straight in a row!! You guys are the reasons why I’m basically still living!
Next stop, UC Davis, baby!
